Join Team #karlynetwork for the 9th annual Donate Life Run/Walk and help us honor Karly Barker! This event helps to raise awareness about the need for organ, eye and tissue donation, celebrate those touched by donation, and honor the donors, like Karly, who have given the gift of life.
On August 6, 2013, 19 year-old Karly Barker's life was cut short from a brain aneurysm, leaving this world far too soon. At 16, Karly had made the decision to be an organ and tissue donor. Because of her courageous decision, six organ recipients were given a new chance at life and countless others were given lives that would forever be imporved through tissue donation. Karly was the epitome of grace, with an unforgettable smile. She lived intentionally and all that knew her were blessed by her giving spirit!
Each year we choose to honor Karly's memory and celebrate her life, by participating in Donor Network West's Donate Life Run/Walk. The funds raised from this event will assist with educating the community about the importance of and need for organ and tissue donation.
It’s easy to make a difference – just click the button to the left and join our team. If you’re unable to join, you can still help by making a donation. Any amount helps the over 22,000 people waiting for a life-saving transplant in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
We hope that you'll join us on September 7th as we celebrate Karly's amazing life! LIFE...Live it, Give it!
